Future Life Wealth Management has been shortlisted for two major awards in the East Midlands Chamber Derbyshire Business Awards 2022.

It’s been announced that company founder and MD Jillian Thomas is a finalist in the award's ‘Entrepreneur of the Year’ category for the fourth consecutive year.

Future Life Wealth Management has also been shortlisted in the ‘Small Business of the Year’ category, which is nominated by Barclays.

The Renishaw-based financial planner has achieved outstanding growth since it was established by Jillian in 2009, with the firm working for a constantly increasing number of high and ultra-high net-worth individuals.

Jillian said: “This success recognises the hard work and commitment of Future Life Wealth Management’s entire team who are dedicated to creating – and then safeguarding – every clients’ financial future.

“I’m immensely proud that the East Midlands Chamber Business Awards’ judges have shortlisted us in these two categories… Now fingers crossed for the final!”

The winners of the East Midlands Chamber Business Awards 2022 will be announced at Pride Park Stadium, in Derby, on Friday, November 11.

The Entrepreneur of the Year award specifically recognises a "dynamic, creative and visionary business leader" who can showcase their "drive, ambition, tenacity, creativity, inventiveness and confidence".

The Small Business of the Year award finalists need to demonstrate "consistent growth backed by a strong financial performance" and must show "current activity to grow market share and the effect this is having on business performance".

An overall Business of the Year is also selected from all finalists by Mazars.

East Midlands Chamber chief executive Scott Knowles said: “Despite the challenges of the past few years, our region continues to show its resilience, ingenuity and hunger for growth, and the line-up of this year’s Business Awards is testament to this.

“The East Midlands is packed with so many hugely successful businesses that are at the pinnacle of their industries, and it’s fantastic to have a chance to put them under the spotlight.

“Alongside showcasing the great examples of innovation, green growth and global trading – which are all integral to the future economic landscape – our Business Awards also celebrate how our companies support their people, communities and each other through collaboration.”
