FUTURE Life Wealth Management is on the hunt for a new bookkeeper and financial assistant who pays scrupulous attention to detail and has a true fascination for numbers.
The Renishaw-based financial planner has achieved outstanding growth since it was founded by Jillian Thomas in 2009 with the firm working for an ever-increasing number of high and ultra-high-net-worth individuals.
The new vacancy has arisen due to the imminent retirement of long-serving and highly regarded team member.

Future Life Wealth Management offers a bespoke financial planning service to generators of wealth, typically business owners, executives and professionals, and also to receivers of wealth, such as inheritors, divorcees, widows and retirees. The company now has 11 full-time employees.
The main responsibility of the bookkeeper and financial assistant role is to manage and transact all the cash movements on Future Life Wealth Management's bank statements utilising SAGE and Intelliflo.
In addition, the role entails submission of regulatory requirements required by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and compiling the Professional Indemnity Insurance (PI) proposal form for checking by the Managing Director before submission.

Job Description: Bookkeeper & Financial Assistant
The main responsibility of the role is to manage and transact all the cash movements on the bank statements. All cash movements are transacted on SAGE to enable the statutory reporting to be performed by the external accountants. For fee income received, this has to be transacted onto Intelliflo to maintain a record of income derived from each client. In addition, the role entails submission of regulatory requirements required by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and compiling the Professional Indemnity Insurance (PI) proposal form for checking by the Managing Director before submission.

Management of cash movements on the bank statements
Identify and transact income received on the bank statements
Daily tasks:
- Populate the current months Payment Spreadsheet with fee income received into the bank
- Input cash received from clients onto Intelliflo and match to expectation
- Input cash received from providers onto Intelliflo and using Provider statements allocate to the relevant client
- Identify fees due to Introducers and fees which need transferring between different bank accounts
- Input customer invoices on SAGE for fees received from providers (exc SIPP fees) and match as a customer receipt
- Raise customer invoices on SAGE for client paid fees and SIPP fees and match as a customer receipt
- Manage any fees received that are not due or incorrect with the team and arrange for corrective actions
Weekly tasks:
- Reconcile Payment Spreadsheet to Intelliflo income reports
Monthly tasks:
- Close month end when reconciliation is complete and open new month
- Complete remittance advices for payments due to introducers and request payments to be made
- Request transfer between bank accounts for fee transfers
- Complete spreadsheet for Business Targets with the month income before issuing to Senior management
- Complete spreadsheet to issue to Banner Jones Solicitors for referrals made (can be issued quarterly to BJS)
- Update spreadsheet on fees received/due for individual advisers
On Request:
- Update and issue Initial income spreadsheet for due/paid fees and issue to Senior management
Others:
- Identify transfers between bank and accounts and input the cash movements onto SAGE
- Introducer fees received
- Government Grants received
- Ad hoc monies received
Identify and transact payments made on the bank statements
Daily tasks:
- Input supplier invoices received onto SAGE and match as a supplier payment
Monthly tasks:
- Identify wage payments/HMRC/Pension contributions/CII fees/bank charges and input as cash payment onto SAGE
Others:
- Identify transfers between bank and accounts and input the cash movements onto SAGE
- Ad hoc payments made
Other tasks:
Monthly tasks -
- Compile and Input wage journal onto SAGE
- Reconciliation of bank statements on SAGE
- Input petty cash receipts onto SAGE and reconcile tins
When required tasks -
- Raising of sales invoices
- Half/Year end information to accountants
- Group pension scheme & SIPP ongoing fee increase by CPI from 1st January annually – notification to clients and providers
- FCA return in May & November
- FCA regulatory attestation/update submissions
- PI insurance renewal proposal form completion
- Ad hoc information requests and assistance to Senior Management team
