FUTURE Life Wealth Management’s divisional director Jillian Thomas has been invited to provide her expertise and insight at East Midlands Chamber’s Annual State of the Economy Conference 2023.

Jillian will participate in a scheduled discussion about the ‘economic performance and prospects’ of both the region and the UK at the University of Leicester later this month.

The conference invites economists, politicians and business leaders to discuss key developments over the past year with a view to appraising what the coming year might hold in store.

Renishaw-based Future Life Wealth Management offers a bespoke financial planning service to generators of wealth, typically business owners, executives and professionals, and also to receivers of wealth, such as inheritors, divorcees, widows and retirees.

The Annual State of the Economy Conference was established to assist those looking to learn more about the global and regional factors that are influencing operating conditions while also sharing ideas on how future business growth can best be supported.

Jillian - who has just won the ‘Game Changer’ category for the East Midlands in the British Chamber of Commerce (BCC) Chamber Business Awards 2023 - said: "It’s an enormous honour to be asked to speak at this event, particularly given the calibre of my fellow panelists.

“The past year has not proved as tough for many as it was initially thought might be the case - but companies must continue adopting the most proactive and competitive approach.

“With an election now looking very likely in 2024, this imperative will only increase.

“I’ve always derived immense personal and professional satisfaction from helping businesses prosper – and this ethos rests at the heart of East Midlands Chamber’s Annual State of the Economy Conference.”

Participants in the ‘Economic performance and prospects’ discussion will also include: Stuart Dawkins, president of East Midlands Chamber; Professor Stephen Hall, Professor of Economics at Leicester University's School of Business; and Katie Lewczynski, Assistant Vice President Corporate FX at Barclays Bank.

The conference will take place at 9am on Thursday, December 14, in the Peter Jackson Lecture Theatre, University of Leicester, Leicester, LE2 1RQ. It has been organised by East Midlands Chamber in conjunction with the University of Leicester, the Institute of Directors and Leicestershire Business Voice.
