End of an era: Farewell to Stuart

Date Published: 03/07/2019 14:11

We are very sad to be losing Stuart Ibbotson to retirement.

It only seems five minutes ago that Stuart joined me at the fledgling Future Life Wealth Management in 2010.

Back then we had a desk each, but only one phone. More importantly I had a briefcase full of dreams. And Stuart has helped me realise those dreams of running a successful business and was with me every step of the way.

As our senior administrator he has been the backbone that has helped hold the company together, and for all his hard work we are extremely grateful.

Stuart, who has a certificate in financial planning, was born in Rotherham and went to Aston and Brinsworth Comprehensives. His childhood ambition was to be a footballer. He didn’t achieve that, but, as an Owl, one of his happiest memories was watching the infamous Boxing Day massacre of 1979 when Sheffield Wednesday beat United 4-0.

In retirement Stuart will no doubt find time for his other loves: walking, travelling, musicals, real ale and, of course, his grandchildren.

We wish him well. It feels like the end of an era.
