Jillian established Future Life Wealth Management in 2009 in the midst of a global financial crisis, five years after she was caught up in the Boxing Day Tsunami in Thailand.
Originally from County Durham, Jillian moved to Sheffield with her family when she was 13. She found school difficult because of her then undiagnosed dyslexia. When she left school, she worked at Guardian Royal Exchange Assurance in Sheffield as an administration assistant, before becoming a financial planner in Mansfield.
Jillian’s life changed when she found herself caught up in the 2004 Boxing Day Tsunami in Thailand where she was on holiday with her mother. Although it was the worst thing that ever happened to her, she credits this experience with making her reassess her life.
It became a pivotal reason behind her setting up her business, and she launched Future Life Wealth Management in 2009.
"It is now just about 18 months since you took over as financial adviser to both myself and my wife. At our fist meeting I was very impressed at what you told me you could do and what returns might be achieved. I was particularly keen to hear not only how you would manage my funds but also that you would ensure our capital gains tax allowance would be utilised each year.I thought if you achieved all you said you could you would be doing really well!"
